Welcome to Classics on the Common - Harpenden

In 1994 just 25 cars turned up for an evening picnic on the Common, by 2002 this number had grown to over 1,500. Vehicles of all classes attend, 'turning up parking up' for this mid-week, summers evening extravaganza. Vehicles come from all over the country, and despite appalling weather in 2005, 1,000 vehicles attended.

The event has won several accolades including Best Event 2003 from the Classic and Sports car magazine. All funds raised from the event are donated to local charities and schools. In 2007 the event raised £5,000, the main beneficiaries were Sir John Lawes School and the New Jumbulance Travel Trust.
